Things to note when replace a tyre in a tyre store
  • 1. Check-up list before installing and removing a tyre
    • - Required tools must be used for the installation/removal of a tyre and wheel and such process must be conducted by an expert specialized in tyre installation/removal.
    • - Presence of any damages on the tyre and wheel must be checked before installing a tyre.
    • - Any damaged tyre or wheel mustn’t be used.
    • - Only the tyre and wheel that are qualified in the standard must be used for their assembly.
  • 2. Things to note when installing and removing a tyre
    • - The presence of air leakage around the valve must be checked.
    • - When replacing a tyre, the valve must be always replaced.
    • - In case of a tyre that is used along with a tube, that tube must be replaced as well when replacing the tyre.
    • - When pumping air into a tyre, the safety screen or safety equipment must be use.
    • - When pumping air into a tyre, the position of the tyre to the rim must be clearly checked and then air should be pumped after the properly securing the position of the tyre.
    • - When pumping air into a tyre, the air pressure more than the amount indicated in the manual or plan card of the vehicle.
In case of the failure to follow the above mentioned safety guideline, a tyre and wheel may spring up owing to the damage on the tyre or wheel causing a life-threatening damage.
Things to be notified to the customers in a tyre store
  • 1. The drivers are recommended to read the tyre related instructions provided by the automobile companies.
  • 2. The air-pressure and load must be observed as recommended in the automobile companies.
    • - The air-pressure of a tyre should be checked at least once a month including the spare tyre.
    • - When driving an expressway, it is advised to take a break more than 15 minutes once in every 2 hours.
    • - Never drive when the air-pressure of a tyre is low or high.
    • - Do not drive under the over-loaded condition.
  • 3. When selecting a tyre, the vehicle to be use and using condition should be considered.
  • 4. The air-pressure, worn-out state, and presence of external damage or stuck nail must be checked from a tyre.
  • 5. A tyre shouldn’t be used if it has external damage and it should be checked in a nearest tyre store.
  • 6. It is advised to drive slowly when passing on the curb stone or obstacles and hollow area on the road because the inner code of the tyres may be disconnected causing the tyre rupture.
